Brett Bishop, who played for Cal in 2010 and then for Fresno City College in 2011 and 2012, believes in the philosophy of the Blaze: "Play Hard! Play Together! Play with Class!"

Thaddeus Phillips (above) played for the Blaze in the summer of 2017.  At Ohlone College, Phillips hammered 15 homeruns his sophomore season and finished #1 among ALL California JC hitters (88 teams!) with 64 RBI on the season.  The strong-armed catcher signed a nearly full-ride offer with UConn baseball, a D I program in Storrs, CT.

“Play Hard, Play Together, Play with Class!”

Come be a part of the Bay Area's Finest Summer Team…

Our philosophy is different than most club teams, who often play without uniforms, make practices optional, allow for an “anything goes” type of attitude.  This is exactly what we don’t want!  Because it is summer, things are a bit more “laid back” than the traditional day-to-day grind found in high school and summer seasons.  Additionally, we don’t practice every day or “run” for mental errors.  However, this does not mean we compromise our goals as a team, nor does it mean we disrespect the game of baseball.  Thus, a brief snapshot of how we run things for the Central California Blaze is as follows:

When we play, our "rules" are simple:

Play HARD! ...
Summer or not, we’re here to play with intensity.

Look SHARP! ...
No backwards hats, low-hanging pants, or untucked jersey’s—also,
we don’t play games in t-shirts and different hats—we will have matching socks, belts, jersey’s and hats.

Play TOGETHER! ...
Our job this summer is to play as a TEAM, not a bunch of
individuals.

Play to WIN! ...
Summer or not, it’s no fun to lose games or tournaments
conversely, it’s a whole lot of fun to win—thus, we play with intensity, and we play to win.

Exhibit CLASS! ...
Win or lose, we respect our teammates, opponents, fans, and
umpires—the players in this organization are asked to be men of class and honor.
